Musical Background
My family always jokes that I was singing before I was talking. However, I fell in love with performing around the age of 11 when I was in sixth grade. I started by singing the National Anthem at our high school's football, basketball and track events. While still in school I became involved in choir, small group ensembles, and the annual musical.

I knew that I wanted to continue to grow the scale and stage of which I sang. This led me to singing the National Anthem whenever the opportunity was presented. I found myself at local rodeos, the Kansas State fair, Kansas FFA State Convention, and Hutchinson Community College sporting events.
After high school I began my undergraduate degree at Hutchinson Community College, where I sang on scholarship in the large choir and the the nationally renowned vocal jazz group Badinage. I performed with Badinage for two years where I was able to perform at the Jazz Educators Network Conference in Dallas Texas, Chicago, opened for the Manhattan Transfer, and performed with the Hutchinson Symphony.

Today I continue to perform the National Anthem. A few of my most recent accomplishments include ending as a finalist in the National Cattlemen's Beef Association national anthem contest, performing at the Big 12 Outdoor Track Championship, and performing at an open horse show with the American Royal.
